I enjoyed reading Fengju's quest for love despite the many attempts and failures, because her personality was strong and I continuously wanted to cheer her for it. She pushes to go into the barrier and the barrier recognizes the ring as Dong Hua’s power and lets her thru. But no one can go into the barrier that he had set up. This is actually much better than the long-winded, tedious, love-triangle bogged Pillow Book I.
