I absolutely loved that it included women of color, a working mom, strategies for staying cool when you get upset, and ultimately, a daughter who loves her mom so much that nothing could ruin their day! It was Saturday! Oge Mora’s Saturday reminds kids and adults alike that when things don’t go as perfectly as planned, you can take a deep breath and make things special anyway. But through the ups and downs and many set backs this Saturday like all the many Saturdays before is still a special time. So sweet and simple.
