This mask is pretty awesome but most likely won't be useful in real life. This is only for riot situations, and isn't a good solution for nerve gas or nuclear radiated areas, but for tear gas, smoke, or any other situation you could think of, a functional gas mask for a MERE 20 DOLLARS is FANTASTIC. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY. The standard M17 filters do fit. The filters are a pain to put in too. Mine came with two sets of filters, and although I had a bit if trouble installing them, once you familiarize yourself with your mask, you will have virtually no problem with it. This is VERY similar to the old M-17 mask.
