Contrary to some other readers, I actually found this book to be extremely well written, and particularly taking into account Christopher's youth and total lack of formal education, I paused to wonder if it had been written on his behalf at times. As hard as a book like this is to read - sometimes it's necessary so that maybe somewhere else another child in the same situation might be saved.
