Otto Preminger is at the top of his provocative, censor-baiting game here, using gorgeous photography (both color and black and white) to tell a scathing story of the frivolous and shallow lives of the idle rich. Jean-Luc Godard semi-joked how this was the prequel to Breathless, and indeed a "3 Years Later" after the final shot would tie the two in nicely. Man, Jean Seberg ruined this movie for me.
